Back to the future!
Environmental Sciences is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
Friday April 23rd 2010 we will celebrate the fact that Van Hall Larenstein's Environmental Sciences has existed for 25 years.
Our foreign students have always meant and still mean a lot to us. This keeps our minds open to Europe (and beyond) and we hope to meet a lot of our present and former foreign students this day.
On this day we want to take you "Back to the Future!"
"Back", because this will be a reunion for all the people that were ever involved in the education on the old "RHLS", the Prof. H.C. Van Hall Institute at Groningen, or the University for Professional Education Van Hall Larenstein at Leeuwarden, as it is called now. As a student, a lecturer or otherwise.
Not only will we look back at the fantastic years behind us. The future means a lot to us. For that reason we will organize a small symposium in which we will be looking at the development of Environmental Sciences in the near future. What is to be expected, and what are the various visions of scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs in the field.
During the 23rd of April there will be rooms decorated in styles of the 80's, 90's en 00's. Here classes will be held by lecturers from those days.
Former students will be giving a presentation about their current work and about the firms they work for, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
Above all, we will have a party that will be remembered for the next 25 years, together with all the students, lecturers and others that made it possible to make a success of these years.
At the same time, we take the opportunity to update the list of former students and colleagues, their addresses and present occupations. It would therefore mean a lot to us, if all of you pass this invitation on to everyone you know to be involved.

If it is impossible for you to come, please fill out this form, so we can use the data, to update our files, so we will be able to stay in contact.
The form is meant for everyone. If some of the field are not applicable to you, just leave it open.
The party will start at 13.00, and will finish late. You may join all day (afternoon, supper, night) but of course you can choose to join later or leave earlier.
We ask for a small contribution to this party. If you join supper we charge € 15,=. If you plan to come for the afternoon or night, we only charge € 10,=.
